The PTA is pleased to announce that the annual Reflections contest is now under way.
The theme this year is “Look Within”.
The six categories are:
· Visual Arts
· Literature
· Photography
· Dance Choreography
· Film Production
· Musical Composition
The entry forms and rules are available in the library. The deadline for all entries in October 21, 2019.
Winners will be announced at a later date. There will also be a reception displaying all the entries that were submitted. More details to follow. We are looking forward to seeing all the creativity our students have! If you have any questions, please see Joanne Gen in the library. Good luck to all our students!!

Attention cross country runners, practices on minimum days will be during 6th period still. Report today to practice by 1pm.

Freshmen! Your latest opportunity to hang out with your Link leaders is coming up this Friday at Lunch! Bring your lunch out to the front of the school and enjoy a fun time with some fun people. See you Friday

It is not too late to enroll in SCROC classes! Classes begin TODAY. Earn high school credits while exploring careers. Classes are free and transportation is provided. The SCROC bus leaves from the front of the school. More information can be found in the College & Career Center, room A105.

Sign up for these and more through Naviance. (2-day advance registration and verbal permission from teachers is required.)

Work Experience applications are due September 16. (Earn high school credit for having a part time job.)

Fall semester internship applications are due September 20. Opportunities are posted in the College and Career Center. Applications are online (Gain experience to build your resume. Earn high school credit by completing 50 hours of work-based learning.)

Attention all girls interested in playing softball this spring. There will be a brief but mandatory meeting in room A207, Ms. McCann's room, on Wednesday, September 11th at lunch. All returners and newcomers are welcome -- please see McCann if you have any questions or concerns.

Attention Juniors: The PSAT sign-up form is ONLY available on the high school website. Select the ASB TAB, then under CLUBS & ACTIVITIES, select the STUDENT APPLICATION link, and you will see the PSAT form. Sign ups begin TODAY for Juniors. If spots are available beginning October 1st, Sophomores may sign up. The PSAT is Saturday, October 19th.

CSF Open Enrollment for grades 10-12 begins TODAY. Application forms are ONLY available on the high school website. Select the ASB TAB, then the STUDENT APPLICATION TAB, then under CLUBS & ACTIVITIES, select the STUDENT APPLICATION link, and you will see the CSF Application packet. Enrollment closes on September 19, 2019: NO EXCEPTIONS.

Girls Soccer Tryouts are on September 17 & 18th at Campus ES from 3:00-4:30pm.All interested players, currently not in the program, should attend.

Boys Soccer tryouts for all new players and anyone who did not play boys varsity soccer last year will be on Thursday, September 12th at Campus El Segundo from 3:00-4:30pm. Tryouts will be held on Sunday, September 15th at 3pm at ESHS for all athletes that are currently in a sport. If there are any questions please contact Coach Kelley.

Yearbook is accepting summer photos. Send an email with photos attached to by September 13th..

Hey Eagles! Get ready for Club Rush on October 1st. Turn in your club applications to the activities office by September 24th.

This year, we have Tech Tuesdays. For the month of September, you can go to the library from 11am - 3pm if you need assistance with your iPad. If it’s during class time, you must get permission from your teacher or go at lunch or after school. After September, Tech Tuesday will be at lunch only.
