Congratulations to Ms. McCann, who has been selected as the 2018-2019 Southern Section Softball Coach of the Year. Coach McCann is being recognized for her outstanding effort in leading the Lady Eagles to the CIF Div 4 Championship game last season. Congratulations on this special recognition, Coach McCann. You Rock!

Attention all students: Need volunteer hours? AVID is kicking-off its once-a-month beach clean-up starting this Saturday, October 5th from 8 - 10 am. We meet at Dockweiler Beach, in the parking lot to the right of the Imperial entrance.

Attention all candy lovers: Voting for Homecoming Court is open NOW through next Thursday! Please log on to (the number 4) and vote! Winners will be crowned at Coronation on October 12th.

It's October!! That means it's breast cancer awareness month. Did you know over 3.8 million people have been diagnosed with breast cancer? To raise awareness, please wear pink to tonight’s football game and consider donating to an organization whose mission it is to end breast cancer!

Students: If you have lost your Invisalign retainer or cell phone, please see Dr. Fox in her office at snack today.

As a reminder, students should NOT be in the south gym lobby, south gym or the north gym without supervision at snack or lunch.

Seniors- Check your school email. Dr. Fox sent you a google form requesting your senior quote for the yearbook. Please respond with a school appropriate quote that is 30 words or less before October 11, 2019. No late or inappropriate quotes accepted. If you did not receive the email, please see Dr. Fox ASAP.

Seniors interested in a part time job as a barista or in food and beverage, see Ms. Harada for a potential weekend job with Crown Plaza LAX. Starting pay is $16.63!

College Night is October 10 - College Fair from 5-6 pm; college workshops from 6-7:30 pm. Parents and students (grades 9-12) are invited. Help narrow down college choices, find out important information regarding financial aid, admission requirements, community college transfer process, and participate in an interactive Naviance workshop for parents and students. Bring iPads!

Students interested in airport careers, including pilots, flight attendants, fire/safety, airport police/K-9, ticketing, baggage, cargo, etc., sign up in the CCC for LAX Aviation Career Day. Deadline to turn in permission slips is October 23.

For more information on any of the above items, students should contact Ms. Harada in the College and Career Center.

The PTA annual Reflections contest- “Look Within”. The entry forms and rules are available in the library. The deadline for all entries is October 21, 2019.
