National Chess Day

Students enrolled in AP classes. Forms and payment are now due. Deadline is October 18th.

It's October!! That means it's breast cancer awareness month. Did you know over 3.8 million people have been diagnosed with breast cancer? Consider donating to an organization whose mission it is to end breast cancer!

Attention all candy lovers: Voting for Homecoming Court is open NOW through Thursday! Please log on to (the number 4) and vote! Winners will be crowned at Coronation on Saturday.

Want to be in the yearbook? Tell us what you do before and after school. Email us at for a chance to get featured.

Students: If you have lost your Invisalign retainer or cell phone, please see Dr. Fox in her office at snack today.

As a reminder, students should NOT be in the south gym lobby, south gym or the north gym without supervision at snack or lunch.

Seniors- Check your school email. Dr. Fox sent you a google form requesting your senior quote for the yearbook. Please respond with a school appropriate quote that is 30 words or less before FRIDAY. No late or inappropriate quotes accepted. If you did not receive the email, please see Dr. Fox ASAP.

Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Notre Dame ! . . If you are interested in meeting with college reps from these schools and many MORE, consider attending an upcoming college fair in El Segundo on Sunday, October 20th from 2-4:30pm at Vistamar school.

Seniors attending college in Fall 2020 should complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning October 1. Apply early for best college financial aid opportunities!

College Night is this TOMORROW, October 10th! -IT starts with a College Fair from 5-6 pm and college workshops from 6-7:30 pm. Parents and students (grades 9-12) are invited. Help narrow down your college choices, find out important information regarding financial aid, admission requirements, community college transfer process, and participate in an interactive Naviance workshop for parents and students. Bring your iPads!

Are you interested in an airport career, including pilot, flight attendant, fire/safety, airport police/K-9, ticketing, baggage, cargo, etc.,? Then sign up in the CCC to attend LAX Aviation Career Day. Deadline to turn in permission slips is October 23.

Young women grades 9-12: If you have an interest in technology, join reps from AT&T and Apple for a free event in El Segundo, including a private coding/robotics session. Saturday October 19, 9am to 2pm.

The PTA annual Reflections contest theme is “Look Within”. The entry forms and rules are available in the library. The deadline for all entries is October 21, 2019.
