Make sure you come out to support our Eagles at the Varsity basketball games vs. Culver City tonight at home. Be there to support our Varsity Girls at 6pm followed by the Varsity Boys game. The theme is “Purple and Yellow” in honor of the tragic loss of Kobe Bryant and 8 others this past Sunday.

Come Support ESHS Symphony Orchestra by joining us at Chipotle on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 4-8PM. Mention ESHS Symphony Orchestra, show a photo of our flyer or present the flyer when purchasing your meal and 33% of purchases will be donated to our orchestra.

Hey Seniors! Senior best polls are now open for yearbook! Make sure to log into (the number 4) to vote for your Senior Bests. Elections close next Wednesday Feb. 5 at 3:30. Good luck!

Seniors: On February 4th and 5th the following yearbook photos will be taken at lunch on the front steps:
Twins photo, Senior/Freshman Sibling Photos.

Club photos will be taken February 5th, 6th, and 7th at lunch on the front steps. See your club president to find out which day your are assigned to take a group photo.

Attention Eagles! Scholar Quiz is a fast-paced academic trivia competition where teams of four students (of any grade level) compete against each other in a single elimination tournament. The tournament will be the week of February 24th to February 28th. If you’re interested in signing up, there are green sign up sheets in the activities office. Sign-ups are due by Friday, February 7th!

Seniors- You still have a chance to submit a senior ad. Yearbook is still accepting late ads until February 13th, late fees apply. Find the link to purchase in the latest “news” section on the high school website.
CSF Enrollment forms and money are due on Monday, February 3 during snack, lunch, and after school, drop them off with Mrs. Thompson; enrollment closes on Friday, February 14th at 3PM.

Enter info! Random prize drawings for Eagle Eye reporters with verified scores.

Attention Seniors! We have been notified of a significant increase to our PTA scholarship fund for this school year. Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded this year. To be eligible, each senior student MUST be a PTA member to qualify. The amount to join PTA is ONLY $10.00. Pick up a membership envelope from Dr. Fox’s office today.

As a reminder, students should NOT be in the south gym lobby, south gym or the north gym without supervision at snack or lunch. This includes locker rooms. Detentions will be given.

Another reminder: Students, if you are feeling sick during class, please ask your teacher for a pass to the nurse/attendance office. Please do not text your parents to pick you up while you are in class. The nurse or attendance clerk will contact a parent if you need to go home. Thank you!

College & Career:

2nd Period Teachers: Thank you so much for helping get College & Career Day 2020 surveys completed. The results are in: 1st place: Mrs. Espinoza's class! 2nd place: Ms. Gerber's class; and 3rd place: Ms. Rainy Smith's class! Congratulations! Enjoy your donut parties today!

Students, we are still missing 400 College and Career Day Student Interest Surveys. Are you one of them? If so, avoid being placed in random breakout sessions by taking the survey right now during your 2nd period! If you have trouble with the survey link, email or see Ms. Harada ASAP.

The Black College Expo is tomorrow, February 1st at the LA Convention Center from 9am - 3pm followed by an aftershow from 3-5pm with entertainment and celebrity guests. Bring copies of your transcripts for on-the-spot admissions! Some application fees will be waived. Jobs and internship info will be there, too, so bring resumes. Go online to register: or just show up dressed to impress!

It’s not too late to enroll in SCROC classes! Classes begin on Monday, February 3rd. Earn high school credits while exploring careers. Classes are free and transportation is provided.

Are you interested in a spring internship? Applications are available now and due February 6. Available positions and applications are on the high school website under Academics...College and Career...Internships. See Ms. Harada for more information.

Students interested in biomedical science may apply now for the Lundquist Institute's Summer Fellowship Program. Deadline to apply is March 6, 2020. Students in the program will: Spend 8 weeks gaining laboratory or clinical research experience under the mentorship of The Lundquist Institute's Investigators and get paid!
