From assisting schools with their hiring needs, to overseeing the substitute pool and supporting daily staffing needs, Chamille is often the steady force helping everything run smoothly. She’s also the welcoming face of the district office, greeting visitors with a warm smile. El Segundo High School seniors Cara King and Sarah Spraggins were recently honored by the Office of State Senator Ben Allen for their outstanding work with the Blue Butterfly Conservatory. 🦋

Through their internship, Cara and Sarah wrote and illustrated a children’s book titled “El Segundo’s Little Secret...What Happened to the Blues,” which shares the story of the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterfly and the importance of protecting its habitat.

Congratulations to Cara and Sarah for being standout Eagles who truly embody our graduate profile! 👏

“Ms. Lauren Webb is a tireless champion for neurodiverse students in ESUSD. As a long-time Speech and Language Pathologist serving students at ESMS, ESHS, and in the FLIGHT program, Ms. Webb supports learners across all areas of communication. Her impact, however, extends far beyond the classroom. She brought the Friendship Foundation to our district, creating meaningful opportunities for neurotypical and neurodiverse students to connect in the spirit of true inclusion.

Ms. Webb is a constant presence in our community—showing up, advocating, and ensuring that every student’s needs are understood and met with compassion. She is a highly skilled, deeply dedicated, and profoundly professional educator, and ESUSD is incredibly fortunate to have her.”
