El Segundo Middle School students Owen Anderson, Braeden Corcoran, and Mason Koussa are making headlines! 📰🐟 For their 8th grade International Baccalaureate project, these students decided to focus on the critical issue of marine pollution and debris. With mentorship from USC Dornsife, the group collected trash from local beaches, analyzed their findings, and transformed the debris into a fish sculpture that illustrates the impact of plastic waste on ocean life. As a finalist, she received an Apple iPad, a certificate signed by a West Basin Director, and a special gift package.
