Our former Blue Butterflies, now ESHS Eagles ready to graduate & soar into adulthood, walk our halls in cap & gown to be congratulated by our current Butterflies. Just beautiful. 🦋
So this happened today. We are officially a California Democracy School! And these fine young problem solvers had a little bit to do with it. So proud!

My favorite Teacher Appreciation Day EVER! Kirsten Kneipp & crew created an entire Farmers Market just for RSS Staff! Fresh fruit & veggies, flowers to choose, wrap, & take home, bread from Cadoro (who donated a ton of their delish breads), homemade jelly, mugs, on & on. Plus we had lunch from Olive Garden! Best. Day. Ever. We ❤️PTA.
RSS read more minutes than any other Royal Reader School (and there were more than 100!)!! So the LA Kings surprised us today with a visit from Bailey, Daryl Evans, and the ice crew - and cool swag for our awesome teachers & their readers! #LAKings #RSSlovestoread
Teachers & Staff were welcomed by so much love on the first day of Teacher& Staff Appreciation Week! Thank you RSS PTA, for the beautiful & creative signs lining our entrance! We are so grateful! 💗🦋

The Book Fair is ALMOST here...!
RSS hosted its first Civics Project Showcase. Huge thanks to Mayor Drew Boyles, Mayor Pro Tem Pimentel, Councilmember Baldino, & ESUSD Board Member Dieema Wheaton for coming out to encourage & support the process. Our students presented real world problems around waste and their own innovative solutions! So proud!
Happy Read Across America - and RSS! - Day! Our whole school came out to read in the sunshine and enjoy donuts courtesy of PTA! Do-nut forget to fill out your reading logs for the ReadAThon. What a great day!

RSS Kids Heart Challenge Update:
We earned a Spirit Day! Friday is "Anything But A Backpack" day because we have over 250 students registered!
30 Students completed Finn's Mission & get to Silly String Mrs. Oulashian & Mr. Brandlin on Tuesday!

It's Garden Day! TK & K had salad parties today! Students harvested, chopped, and tasted lettuce, greens, radishes, broccoli, and cauliflower. So. Much. Fun.
RSS Yearbook Cover Art Contest!
RSS Student Council Valentine's Day Candy Grams is here for ONE MORE DAY!
Spread kindness and cheer while supporting the RSS Student Council! The RSS Student Council will be selling Valentine's Day Candy Grams after school during both early bird and later gator dismissal times through Friday, Feb 9th. The grams are $1 each; we will accept cash or venmo. Each gram will be delivered to their recipient on Valentine's Day with a lollipop. There will also be an opportunity to donate money to ensure that all students receive and gram and feel the love from our community.
